Welding sheet material selection

The main material of the tower is: Q345E, Q345D, Q345C thick plate, and the material of the flange is Q345D or Q345E

Steel plate for wind power tower barrel, the special requirements for steel quality of tower barrel are mainly related to regional environment. When low-alloy structural steel is selected for low-temperature tower, the technical measures of low-temperature brittle fracture of welds are required. The performance of steel requires the prevention of low temperature brittle fracture, and appropriate treatment methods are required to enhance the material’s multiple impact resistance, avoid stress concentration, and avoid large impact loads at low temperatures.

Tower drum production process

1. CNC cutting machine cutting, thick plate needs to be beveled,
2. After the roll molding, spot welding, positioning, and confirmation of the internal and external longitudinal seam welding,
3. After roundness check, if there is a problem, round twice,
4. After the single section cylinder is welded, the hydraulic group is used to spot weld the roller frame, weld the inner and outer ring joints, check the straightness and other tolerances
5. After welding the flange, carry out non-destructive testing and flatness inspection of the weld.
6. After sandblasting, spray painting, installation of internal parts and finished product inspection, transport to the installation site.
